- Oct 14, 2011Beautiful setting right on Lake Michigan... Rooms were clean and well kempt. As I understand it, they are undergoing some renovations, so that may explain how some reviewed the rooms as outdated--I didn't think the rooms were that outdated at all. The pool is also being completely taken out and redone, so I wouldn't expect to be able to swim here for at least a year from now. Beds were comfortable, although I would have liked a little bit softer pillows. Thebeach is kept pretty clean, and the hotel is set back in a forest preserve, so it's very scenic and quiet.
